COMMUNITY BEHAVIOR STANDARDS

BEHAVIOR THAT WILL GET YOU KICKED OFF SKWIBBLE.COM

While we believe in cutting edge art and the honest expression of feelings, there are acceptable and unacceptable uses of the Skwibble.com Website. We want the Skwibble.com community to be fun for everyone. Please use your common sense on the Website. Because common sense isn’t all that common, here is a list of some of the things that may cause us to terminate your account:

  • * Crimes: Using any part of the Website for any unlawful purpose.
  • * Violence: Using the Website to harm or threaten to harm anyone. Do not use skwibbles to stalk, frighten, or humiliate anyone.
  • * Demonstrating Bad Taste: Posting anything pornographic. Art is in the eye of the beholder, but we all know porn when we see it. Just don’t post it. We do not edit or revise any posting, but if we feel it violates these standards we will take it down.
  • * Annoying Others: Using the Website to generate Spam, to pass viruses, steal bandwidth or to do anything destructive or harassing to any user or recipient of a skwibble or their computers.
  • * Stealing: Do not submit any content that is not your own. We at Skwibble.com are artists and we respect the copyrights of other artists. Violating copyrights is like stealing food from the mouths of artists and we will not tolerate it. Only post what is your own originally created content. This includes art, photographs, video, graphics, music, and words.
  • * Lying: Do not misrepresent your identity. You may not post or submit content under someone else’s name, image, or identity. Not to cause harm, to embarrass or even just in fun. It is not funny. Save that stuff for the bathroom wall please.
  • * Cussing: Remember that this Website may be viewed by children. If you are going to be edgy (in words or images) please do it in a sophisticated way that will not permanently scar any kids that may wander this way.
  • * Ranting: Free speech only goes so far. If you are full of hate or rage, please take it elsewhere - it ruins the buzz for the rest of us.
  • * Hacking: Do not hack or damage or interfere with the work of others. That is not criticism – it is just bitter and childish.
  • * Advertising: You may use Skwibble.com to promote your business by sending offers to your clients, but do not post ads in Skwibbles. That’s what Craigslist is for.

Sometimes it is hard to identify a violation of community behavior standards while other cases are clearer. If we identify a violation we may simply delete the offending content. In other cases we may terminate the account of the offender. In some instances we will report the conduct to law enforcement based on our judgment. However, we are not experts in human behavior and you should not rely on the Skwibble.com staff to protect you from the abuse of others.

SAFTEY FIRST: Be Careful When Disclosing your Personal Information

We recommend only sending your personal information, such as your name, address and phone number, to people you know in the real world. People you meet online are not always who they say they are. Disclosing personal information, your user login and password, or other details to strangers may lead to identity theft or other dangers. Please be careful. This goes double for anyone else’s personal information. Posting someone else’s phone number on an open invitation may lose you a friend forever.

Dealing with Extreme Responses

The best defense is a good offense, and some people can be very offensive. We find it is generally best to ignore anyone who sounds crazy. Engaging these posters will only encourage them and disrupt the entire community. Steer clear and they will often just go away.

If you find objectionable content, or you believe someone using the Website is violating our behavior standards, please send an email to: report.abuse@skwibble.com and we will investigate.
